To hikers who are attempting to reach the Long's Peak summit via the Keyhole route, scud of the kind seen blossoming over the Keyhole in this photo is of great concern. It means that moist air is flowing across Glacier Gorge, on the other side of the ridge, and such air can quickly lead to icy conditions on the route. 

Fortunately, this scud disappeared within a few minutes, telling us the air over the Keyhole was dry as we began the trek from the Boulderfield campsites to the Keyhole.
