We perform IRIS™ Pest Management in medical facilities and other sensitive environments all over Texas, conduct entomological, nematological, and arachnological research, and work with other pest management firms to help them improve their service programs. Do you use Integrated Pest Management (IPM) techniques? Yes. We were one of the first to use IPM techniques in Texas. We pioneered the use of IPM methods in Texas nursing homes, residences, and schools. Our advanced version of IPM is a proprietary IRIS™ Pest Management program that is available only from EntomoBiotics Inc. Do you provide Reduced Impact Services (RIS) for your pest control customers? Yes. RIS uses IPM techniques to provide the best pest management results with methods and products that cause the least impact on the application site and its inhabitants. We combine IPM with RIS and call it IRIS™ Pest Management. Does IRIS™ Pest Management cost more? No. In fact, it usually costs less in the long run. Do you treat homes and businesses for subterranean termites? Yes. Our i3 termite elimination program, developed in the course of treating homes, businesses, and sensitive facilities like nursing homes, hospitals, schools, and scientific laboratories, is one of the best in Texas. It combines termite interdiction, interception, and inoculation, using least-toxic and non-toxic termiticides and wood preservatives to interdict termites in structures (denying them further access to your home or business) and repeated inoculations of harmless nematodes in termite interceptors in the soil outside your home or business to eliminate their colonies there. Do you use baits for termites? Yes, we use non-toxic baits to intercept termite colonies, and harmless nematodes to inoculate their colonies repeatedly and eliminate them. How long has EntomoBiotics Inc. been in operation? Our founder, Jerry Cates, has been licensed in Texas since 1980.
