Banded, Yellow, & Silver Garden
Spiders Compared
  The
image on the far right is of the
silver garden spider, taken by Lutz S. in Brownsville on 102108; the
middle image is of a yellow garden spider, taken by Maxine DM in Tyler,
TX, on 071507; and the image on the right is of a banded garden spider
taken by Stephen M. in Justin, TX, on 102107. As these images show, the
three species are similar in many respects, but quite different in
others. I titled this page "compared" but in reality the only comparison
here is of the dorsal morphology and markings, while we must surely
admit a spider is much more than that ----FINIS----
